Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, food containers, litter pans, laundry, yards, and other shelter areas.
Exercise, socialize, and assist with training animals according to shelter guidelines.
Provide friendly, helpful customer service to visitors and assist with companion animal adoptions.
Maintain accurate records related to feeding, exercise, medications, and behavior.
Communicate effectively with coworkers, volunteers, and the public to help create a safe and positive environment.
Become familiar with the Pet Helpers mission, website, and programs to accurately represent the organization.

Schedule and Benefits:

Full-time and part-time positions available (part-time employees must work full-day shifts).
Schedules include either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts.
Full-time employees may be eligible for a pay increase after 120 days of successful employment.

Requirements:

High school diploma required.
Previous experience or knowledge of animal shelters or veterinary practices preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Ability to safely handle reactive, energetic, or strong-pulling dogs weighing 60 pounds or more.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently when needed.
Flexibility to work evenings (until 6:00 p.m.), weekends (including one weekend day), and some holidays, as the animals rely on us every day of the year.

If you're ready to make a difference and help give homeless animals the care and compassion they deserve, apply today.
