Executive Director
Brown County Humane Society
Job Description
Brown County Humane Society (Nashville, Indiana) is seeking a relationship-driven Executive Director to lead a nationally recognized animal welfare organization. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone energized by donor relations, fundraising strategy, and community partnerships—while also guiding day-to-day operations and organizational culture.
The Executive Director serves as the primary liaison between BCHS and its stakeholders (public, staff, volunteers, donors, media, and community partners). Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED leads BCHS programs and services, executes strategic goals, and advances the mission and policies set by the Board.
We’re looking for a leader who is ethical, transparent, organized, action-oriented, and composed under pressure, with strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills—comfortable working in an animal care environment with the physical and environmental demands of shelter work.
Salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 with benefits including paid time off.
