Cat Depot is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead the area’s premier animal welfare organization and one of the largest feline-only rescue and adoption centers in the nation. Working with an engaged Board of Directors and dedicated staff, the Executive Director will have a minimum of ten (10) successful years of business management experience and demonstrated leadership, financial acumen, and measurable fundraising and development skills. Most importantly he or she will demonstrate a passion for animal welfare.
The Executive Director will be a dynamic spokesperson for Cat Depot and grow an engaged and supportive community in the prevention of feline homelessness and suffering. He/she will direct the development and implementation of a strategic plan for the short and long-term growth and success of the organization to ensure financial stability. He/she will put into place and maintain successful and sustainable development and giving programs while actively developing and enhancing relationships with all constituents.
The successful candidate must demonstrate proven financial, strategic, and development planning skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with all staff, stakeholders, and media is necessary. The Executive Director will develop and maintain public/private partnerships, and have a strong understanding of issues and industry practices in animal welfare.
