The Foster Coordinator plays a critical, fast-paced role in lifesaving at Halifax Humane Society by driving the placement of animals into foster homes quickly, efficiently, and with exceptional customer service. This position requires a highly organized, tech-savvy, and solutions-oriented professional who thrives under pressure, communicates with urgency, and follows through relentlessly to ensure positive outcomes for animals, fosters, and partners.

This role oversees the day-to-day operations of the foster program while building strong relationships with foster caregivers, rescue partners, and transport organizations. The Foster Coordinator is responsible for moving animals through the system efficiently reducing length of stay, increasing capacity for care, and supporting lifesaving efforts through foster placement and rescue coordination.
