Have you always wanted to work with people who LOVE animals? The Roanoke Valley SPCA is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as our Foster Coordinator to manage animals in volunteer foster homes! The Roanoke Valley SPCA is an adoption and education facility working to keep pets and people together. Applicants for this position must have good computer skills and organizations skills, as well as excel at interpersonal communication!

POSITION: Foster Coordinator
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, Part-Time
SUPERVISOR: Operations Director
DIRECT REPORTS: Foster Volunteers
SCHEDULE: Typically Monday through Thursday 1:00pm to 6:00pm and Friday Noon to 5:00pm.
WORK LOCATION: Roanoke Valley SPCA
PAY RANGE: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour depending on experience

Duties include: Coordinate and develop the foster program for Roanoke Valley SPCA. The Foster Coordinator is responsible for recruiting new fosters, and training, coordinating, and retaining pf Roanoke Valley SPCA foster volunteers. They are responsible for tracking foster pets needs from placement to return to shelter, including their progress in foster care and any Vet Appointments or Routine Care. This position will work closely with the Operations Director, Intake & Transfer Coordinator and our Behavior Support Services Director to ensure animals receive the care and support the need to continue on their pathway to adoption.

Requirements: Applicants for this position must be enthusiastic, reliable, and detail-oriented, as well as having basic computer skills. Hyper-organized with exceptional attention to detail and organization are a must. Excellent communication skills, customer service skills, and a valid driver's license are also required. All staff must bring a kind, open-minded, and non-judgmental attitude towards members of our community who are in need. We do not tolerate rudeness or discrimination when representing the Roanoke Valley SPCA. Fear Free Certification is preferred but not required.
