Job Description

Asheville Humane Society is expanding our high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter program to six days per week and is seeking an experienced Contract Spay/Neuter Surgeon to join our established surgical team. We are specifically looking for a veterinarian available to work Fridays and Saturdays.

This role focuses primarily on efficient, safe, high-quality surgical care for shelter pets, public pets, and community cats. You will join a collaborative surgical team that includes an experienced HVHQ S/N surgeon and our Medical Director, ensuring shared support, consistent protocols, and a positive, team-centered workflow. This contracted position offers no on-call duties, no nights, and no additional weekend requirements, beyond the Friday/Saturday schedule.
