Job Description

The Kennel Lead supports daily animal care operations by ensuring high standards of animal welfare, cleanliness, and adherence to standard operating procedures. Serving as a point of contact in the absence of management, this role provides guidance to staff, monitors animal health and behavior, and helps maintain a safe, organized environment for animals, staff, and the public. The Kennel Lead combines hands-on animal care with team support and operational oversight to ensure consistent, high-quality care across the shelter.
