The Humane Society of St. Lucie County is looking for a Marketing Specialist to bring our mission to life online and in print. You will manage our social media, email marketing, website content and creative design, turning everyday shelter moments into content that drives adoptions, donations and community support.

You will be a member of the development team and work closely with animal-care staff and volunteers to keep our brand consistent and our storytelling compelling across every platform.

What You'll Do
> Run our social media: develop, schedule, publish and monitor content that grows community awareness, donor engagement, volunteer recruitment and pet adoptions
> Own email marketing: design and distribute newsletters, fundraising appeals and event promotions, and manage our email database and campaign analytics
> Keep our brand consistent: design brochures, sponsorship packets, flyers, signage and promotional materials across every touchpoint
> Manage our digital presence: ensure website content is accurate, engaging and on brand
> Tell our stories: photograph and film animals, adoptions, events, volunteers and donors, and write the stories behind them
> Support our events: create sponsorship materials, signage and promotional content; participate in planning and day-of logistics

What You Bring
> Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and creativity
> Experience creating and managing digital marketing campaigns: social media, email marketing, graphic design, photography, videography, and website content
> Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (or similar), Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, WordPress, email marketing platforms, and basic photo/video editing tools
> Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines while keeping branding and messaging consistent
> Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience)
> Nonprofit experience a plus
> A genuine advocate for animal welfare
> Fluent English required

This is an office-based role with regular hands-on interaction with shelter animals while photographing and filming, plus occasional travel to community events. Some standing, walking and light lifting for events.
