About Us
Anderson Animal Shelter is a progressive, limited admission humane society with an annual intake of approximately 4,000 companion animals with a live release rate of 95%. In addition, we provide care for over 3,000 injured and orphaned wild animals annually through our wildlife center. Over the course of the next 5 years, we plan to expand the number of species in our care to include pet birds (primarily parrots), horses, and other hooved animals commonly kept as pets and small mammals such as rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, gerbils, etc. We are a fast-paced organization dedicated to the animals in our care and the people we impact. We emphasize the importance of a flexible work-life balance for our staff and volunteers and we work hard to create a positive and fun work environment.

Euthanasia Statement
All volunteers and staff of Anderson Animal Shelter must understand and accept that, even though all reasonable accommodations are made to support the physical and emotional health of our shelter animals, there are situations in which animals must be euthanized.
