Temporary Part-time, 15-20 hour per week position. 4-6 month assignment.

THE POSITION:

The MSPCA at our Boston Adoption Center is looking for a Community Outreach Coordinator for a temporary assignment, who is interested in community organizing, non-profit program development and/or animal welfare.  In this temporary role, the Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for supporting the community outreach team in expanding access to MSPCA’s services, resources and information in the Dorchester and Roxbury areas of Boston. Our Coordinator will work to connect pet owners to affordable animal care resources, such as, veterinary care, pet food, and supplies.

The pay range for this position is $18 - $20 per hour depending on skills and experience.  

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for an individual who has at least 2 years of recent experience working in animal welfare with animal handling skills and at least 1 year of recent experience working in customer service, social work or non-profit. Spanish proficiency is preferred but not required. Applicants should have a valid driver's license.
