The Humane Society of South Mississippi is seeking a passionate, licensed Veterinarian to join our growing medical team. Whether you're interested in wellness care, sick appointments, urgent care, high-volume spay/neuter, ancillary surgeries, or shelter medicine, we want to meet you. What You’ll Do (Depending on Your Interests):

Perform wellness exams and preventative medicine

Diagnose and treat sick or injured pets

Provide urgent care services

Conduct spay/neuter surgeries (high-volume experience a plus but not required)

Perform ancillary soft-tissue surgeries

Oversee medical treatment plans within our shelter population

Work with a compassionate team dedicated to improving animal welfare

Requirements:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD)

Active Mississippi veterinary license (or ability to obtain one)

Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Passion for animal welfare and community-focused veterinary care
