Job Description

The Humane Society of Utah Murray Clinic seeks a full-time veterinarian to support our surgery, shelter, and community medicine programs. This person will work alongside three other full-time staff veterinarians. Surgeries (estimated 50% of time) are primarily spay and neuter, though dental, soft tissue and orthopedic procedures are commonly performed on shelter pets. Shelter activities (25%) center around physical exams and developing treatment plans for shelter pets, along with participation in daily animal welfare discussions. Community medicine activities (25%) occur primarily through our onsite wellness clinic, and there is opportunity for involvement in larger community outreach programs if interested. We offer a four-day work week and eligibility for state and federal loan repayment programs.

Requirements: DVM (or equivalent degree) from an accredited veterinary school. Eligibility to obtain licensure in Utah. Eligibility to obtain DEA licensure and USDA accreditation if requested.

Preferred: 1 year of clinical practice in small animal, exotic or shelter medicine.
