Job Description
Vogel Veterinary Hospital is a busy, 4 doctor practice dedicated to providing high quality care to our community’s pets. We offer both wellness and sick appointments, perform in-house diagnostics (including bloodwork, radiographs, and ultrasound), and operate a full-service, high-volume spay/neuter clinic. In addition to routine surgeries, our team performs procedures such as dentals, mass removals, enucleations, amputations, cystotomies, and more.
We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team! Full-time and part-time positions available. Pay rate of $17-$22 an hour.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Obtaining thorough patient medical histories
• Restraining and handling patients safely and compassionately
• Filling and dispensing medications accurately
• Running in-house laboratory tests
• Performing venipuncture and administering IM/SQ/IV injections
• Obtaining radiographs
• Providing treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
• Assisting with surgical procedures and patient prep
• Monitoring patients under anesthesia (preferred, but not required)
• Maintaining clean and organized treatment and exam areas (laundry, cleaning, restocking)
• Supporting the doctors and fellow technicians in daily operations
Qualifications:
• Previous veterinary technician experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right candidate
