Taking Action for Animals 2026 will feature 22 breakout workshops and learning opportunities across four themed tracks. At every TAFA, leaders and experts in animal welfare provide attendees with insight into trending topics, best practices and tools they can use to maximize their positive impact for animals in their own communities and across the United States.

Educational opportunities include:

  • Workshops- 2026 workshop tracks include:
    • Advancing animal advocacy - Examine strategies to strengthen and advance the animal protection movement. These workshops focus on systems-level thinking, collaboration and long-term change.
    • Building advocacy skills - Build the core skills needed for effective advocacy. These workshops emphasize hands-on learning and real-world application to strengthen your impact.
    • Maximizing your impact - Broaden your reach by building partnerships and connecting with new communities. These workshops explore coalition building, cross-sector collaboration and strategies for reaching diverse voices.
    • Shaping policy for animals - Understand how animal policy is made and how to influence it effectively. These workshops address legislative strategy, working with decision-makers and driving policy change.
