Keep on truckin’! Safely relocating companion animals in 2021
This session will explore some new and important updates to the American Veterinary Medical Association and Association of Shelter Veterinarians best practices for nonemergency relocation of dogs and cats for adoption. The evidence and rationale for selected recommendations will be discussed along with tools and tips for successful implementation. Topics will emphasize preventive health care, transportation conditions and record-keeping as key components of safe, impactful and sustainable relocation programs for dogs and cats.
